This native Mediterranean is a very useful, rugged evergreen shrub with bright, showy spring flowers. Extremely sun loving and heat and drought tolerant. Works well as an easy screen or divider between driveways and garden spaces. Place against stucco walls and near a gravel path for that native feel. Or, create a long-blooming rock garden on a gentle slope with California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica), Blue Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium bellum) and Moss Verbena (Verbena tenuisecta). Tolerates poor soil.
