Versatile and vibrant, Moss Verbena is a prized perennial. Among its many attributes, this ground-hugging wildflower offers clusters of many tiny purple flowers, a long bloom season, drought tolerance and a wide-spreading habit of up to three feet. Thrives in hot dry regions. Beautiful as a swath of color in an oriental garden or used as a creeping accent for rock gardens. Great in containers. Try at the front of a sunny mixed border or in edgings along walkways with other low-growers, such as Alyssum, Carpet of Snow (Lobularia maritima), French Marigold (Tagetes patula) and Tidy Tips (Layia platyglossa).
