In its native Northern California, this wildflower appears in open fields like a flowing carpet of gold. A member of the aster family, its profusion of bright yellow flowers with yellow button centers make for quick and vibrant spring color. Use near the front of a sunny border or as edging along walkways. Adds a cheerful spot of color in containers on decks and patios. Pretty combined with Alyssum, Carpet of Snow (Lobularia maritima) and Alyssum, Royal Carpet (Lobularia maritima).
