Dichondra is not a grass but a spreading, low leaved ground cover that develops into a rich, lush, dark green carpet. It can be grown in full sun or partial shade and in various soils as long as it has good drainage. Dichondra is popular as a lawn substitute in areas where it is difficult to mow, such as between stepping stones, around trees and next to foundations and walls. The sowing rate is 1.0 Lbs to 3.0 Lbs per 1,000 Square Feet.
